Replying to a Message

You can reply to messages from the toolbar when browsing your In box. You can choose to reply to the sender of the message or to the sender and all other message recipients.

Replies sent to you display the text Re: and the original message subject in the Subject.

You can reply to a message without opening the message in a new window by clicking the Reply or Reply All button on the toolbar.

You can also reply to a message that has been opened in a new window similarly by clicking the Reply or Reply All button.

Exercise: Replying to a Message

  1. Go to the sidebar and click on the In icon if your In box is not in view.
  2. Select the message to which you want to reply OR double-click on a message and open it in a new window.
  3. Click the Reply or Reply to All button when you are ready to reply to the message.
  4. Type your reply.
  5. Click on the Send button.
  6. Click the Close button on the message window title bar of the original message if you had opened a message in a new window (double-clicked) as opposed to selecting it (single click highlight).
